6 Year Old Lands Big Black Drum!
Steve and his son Joey had a big day! They teamed up and landed 10 black drum and a very hungry trout. The highlight of the day was Joey breaking bad on a 15 pound black drum. It was awesome! The other cool catch was the 21 inch trout that had a 9 inch mullet that it was still digesting when ot ate a jig. It was a fun day and noting better than seeing the kids catch the fish. The fish are here, the weather so let's go fishin! See some of the pics from today in the photo gallery! |

Fishing Steady
We got some nice fish Friday and Saturday. They were not jumping in the boat but with a little work we managed to land some redfish and black drum. The water is clear and the sight fishing is good. The water temp is back up in the mid 60's and the fish are more active. I am currently booking for February and March. I do have a few days open this month so call if you would like to go. Have a great week! Check out the photos and reports that go back to 2005. It gives you an idea of our patterns and consitent catches. Let's go have some fun and catch a few nice fish! 407-405-0819 |

Finally! Florida Weather! Good Fishing!
The cold has left and we finally have our warmer weather back. The redfish and black drum are thick and starting to bite a little better. The water temp has climbed above 50 degrees after dropping to 39 degrees. We have some warm days ahead and the temp should get up in the 60's and the fish will go absolutely nuts. We did lose some big trout and other marine life which is sad. The sight fishing is awesome with the gin clear water and now is a great time to go. I have some days open in January and February is booking. Call now and let's go wet a line and pull on some fish. Have a great weekend! Check out our photos and my reports which date back to 2005. That is a great way to see the patterns of fish we catch. Consistent over the years. Have a great week! |

Happy New Year! Ended 2009 on a Good Note
Happy New Year to all! We ended the 2009 season on a good note. We have been catching redfish, trout, black drum. You have your choice on a charter. You can go in the back waters and sight fish for redfish and nice trout or fish the giant schools of black drum. Now that you can keep trout again your can make a meal of all three or just go for the sport of catch and release. The water is gin clear and the fish are feeding. This latest cold front should bunch the fish up as the water continues to drop. Start the 2010 season off with a trip to the Mosquito Lagoon. Call 407-405-0819. Please check out the photos because we got plenty and catch plenty of fish! Grab your gear and let's go fishing! |

REEL FISHING FILMS WITH PRO WRESTLER 'GLACIER'
What an awesome day on the water. The 'Reel Fishing' team hosted by Frankie Viola and co-hosted by Capt. Dave were joined by special guest Pro Wrestler 'Glacier'. WE WHACKED 'EM! The gang boated 25 black drum and 'Glacier' boated a 20 plus pound redfish. As if that was not enough we found an acre plus of ladyfish blowing up on glass minnows. We lost count on hpw many we caught. We fished a school of 500 plus black drum and a school of 200 plus redfish. It was AWESOME! Great way to spend my birthday! Book for November! Awesome month to fish. Call 407-405-0819!

Solid Saturday Despite 15 MPH Winds
The wind was blowing, the clouds were thick and the black drum and trout were biting. Raymond and Brett had a solid day of catching black drum early and some trout to finish the day. The drum averaged 8-10 pounds with 2 pushing the 12 pound mark. We were on the school before sunrise and stayed on them for 4 hours. It was a challenge and a ton of fun. Later we landed about 30 trout, but they were between 12-14 inches. It was a steady bite and a tight line. Book for October and November because they are great months to fish. 407-405-0819! BLACK DRUM!
Another solid week of fishing. Wednesday was the best day when we boated 23 black drum. Thursday and Friday the bite was slower but we managed to land 13 for those days. Friday started off real hot with 3 fish right away, until a blue flats boat with a 100 foot rooster tail ran down the midde of the flat. We manged to land 4 more fish after the unfortunate act of brilliance. We had a blast catching smaller trout to finish off the day. Most of the fish were 13-14 inches but the bite was steady. Our first cold front is rolling through and the fish should get real frisky! Book a day for October or November. Call for dates! 407-405-0819 Check out all the photos galleries! |

The water is clear and the fish are here! If you like casting to fish in real shallow water and watching them eat your bait now is the time to go. There are a lot of single fish in the skinny water as well as some schools. Once this front clears I look for some big schools to show up. We fished a few schools last week, but mostly singles. It combines hunting and fishing as you stalk your prey. Call now and book for December. There are also plenty of birds to see druing winter. Call about Eco Tours and sight seeing also! Great Weather! Fishin Ain't Bad Either!
The weather is nice and so are the fish. The water is clear and sight fishing is great. We have been catching some nice slot sized reds and a few trout also. The reds are eating shrimp, small mullet and crabs, so a smaller bait works best. Jerk baits rigged weedless and shrimp imitations seem to be working best. Book now for November and December.

Fishing Remains Solid!
The fishing has been solid the 10 days. Last Tuesday was a stellar day as Todd Didion hooked over 30 big reds and landed well over 20 on top water plugs. Some of the photos are in the gallery. It does not get much better! We also did well Wednesday as we managed a few reds and some nice jacks and trout. Thursday and Friday were blowouts with bad weather. Sunday was another solid day and we landed 12 nice slot reds in the 15 mph winds. As the cold fronts begin to move in we will be going shallow and the water will become gin clear. Sight fishing is the ticket. Sight fishing combines hunting and fishing which makes for a fun day.

First Cool Front
The fishing has been steady the past few weeks. Some days the fish eat real well and others they can be difficult. With our first front passing today the fishing should heat up in the coming weeks. We will change our strategy as the water cools. It is the time of year when you will find some big trout and nice reds to cast to in the shallow waters. The key is finding clean water with a good mix of bait. When the water levels drop you will finds nice schools of reds in sand holes. November is a fun time to fish and the weather is great. Big Reds/Slot Reds Fishing is Good!
The fishing has been good the past week or so. We have been catching Big Reds on top water and slot reds are eating well. Paul and Jack had a fun day last Friday as they witnessed some great top water action. Carl and Scott also witnessed the top water bite. Both Carl and Scott had two slobs eat but pull free 10 feet form the boat. They still managed 7 slot reds and few trout. Took my dad and Chris Petreson (owner of Hell's Bay Boats) out today and we got some trout, jumped a tarpon and lost a snook at the boat. we also found a school of over 100 reds in the 20 -30 pound range, but they refused are plugs and spoons. Still a fun day!

Top Water Reds!

Capt. Mike from the Keys came down today and witnessed quite a sight! He got to see 20 to 30 pound redfish bust top water plugs. It was awesome! We went 8 for 11 on the big boys. When you see a 20 plus pound sky rocket on a plug it tends to get you frisky! Call and book today! 407-405-0819!

Busy Week! Nice Reds and Trout!
After 7 straight days of fishing I finally can catch up on my reports. The fishing has been steady with the high water levels on the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River. The coolest fish of the week was Doug's BIG TROUT on a top water plug. All the fish were fun to catch and many of the reds were taken on topwater plugs also. Top water plugs, jerk baits, mullet and cut bait have been the best. find the bait and there will be fish. Book now for September and October. I have days open in September although 13 days are taken. Check out the new photos! Call 407-405-0819 and book today! Tight Lines and Good Fishing! |

Tropical Storm Fishing?
The past week has been okay which is really unlike a typical August. The tropical storm that is moving our way will curtail the fishing until Thursday. I look for the fishing to be strong after that. Running water will hold fish and many types of fish. After we were hit with 4 hurricanes in 2004 the fishing was really good. We managed some nice reds this past week along with some nice trout. But the numbers are off of last year so far. We still have the remainder of Augst, September and October for a shot a big reds on top water. Call now and book for the best months of the year! 407-405-0819

Big Reds This Past Week!
The fishing was little slower this past week, but there were some big "Slobberknockers' landed. We had schools of close to 200 fish to cast at all week. The fish were a little fussy. August, September and October are usually the best 3 months to catch big reds on top water plugs. If you would like a chance to catch a biggun' give me a call ato 407-405-0819! Check out the photos! The fishing has continued to be strong! We are averaging 15-20 fish per day. It has been a mixed bag of Redfish and Black Drum. Great Way to End the Week!
What a great way to end the week. Thursday the guys from Wheeled Coach joined my good friend Capt. Travis Tanner and myself for a fun day of fishing! Travis' boat with Mark and Steve landed the two largest fish of the day. Greg and Paul had a nice day also as they doubled up once and landed some nice redfish. Greg landed the largest on my boat which went 30 inches. We ended the day with trout and ladyfish and lunch at the Causeway Cafe. Friday really made the week as my long time client Ted brought his sister Christine and 9 year old nephew Jake. We Jake had a big day. He landed 2 trout and a redfish before anyone else had a fish. Then with some help form Uncle Ted he landed 2 huge redfish. The first went about 25 pounds and the second was around 22 pounds. The smile was priceless! We ended our day with trout and catfish! Jake was awesome to fish with and he is probably hooked now! BOOK NOW FOR JUNE, JULY and AUGUST! Call 407-405-0819! Tight Lines and Good Fishing! |

Another Solid Week of Fishing!
This past week was solid and some really big redfish came to the boat. The fish of the week was Tony Mendola who landed a 48 inch 32 pound redfish on Friday. We added a few trout but the reds were a little difficult. On Thursday Charlie, Jeff and Todd joined me for a real nice day of big fish. Todd got things started with a nice black drum which went home for dinner. Then Jeff and Todd each scored big fish. Charlie was the odd man out today but he has landed big fish in the past. Todd got the big boy of the day witha 44 inch 28 pound "Slobberknocker'. Wednesday Greg and I caught some fish in the skinny water and had a blast.

Week Ends on a Good Note!
The past week ended with some nice big redfish for John and John Jr. We had a fun day on the water. The fish were a little fussy but we managed to hook three big reds and land two. We had plenty of shots at the fish, but they just were not feeding well. We left one school and moved to an even bigger school. Those fish seemed to have the same attitude. That's why they call it fishing. I really enjoyed the day!
If you would like an opportunity to catch a world class redfish give me a call at 407-405-0819. I have some days left open in May. I am now booking for June and July which are usually hot months. Check out the reports from the last few years in this section.

Catching Up Report!
What a great month! The fishing for the most part has been very good. I had a couple of slow days, but all in all a solid month. There are schools of redfish all over the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River. There are days when the fish are more aggressive and will eat just about any offering. There were a few days were they would not eat at all. As we move into spring the fish will become more aggressive and the top water bite is a great way to start the day. What a great estuary we have and if you you would like to come enjoy the area please call at 407-405-0819. I am booking for April and May with 14 days already booked for April. They will fill fast! Josh Wilcox landed a nice 5 pound trout on Wednesday. He and his wife Stacy were able to boat several nice redfish and quite a few trout. It was a fun day. Thursday was another solid day as several nice redfish came to the boat. Jim and Dan scored some solid fish in a 4 hour trip. Looks like Friday and Saturday will be a blowout. NASA Plan is Unaccpetable!
The proposed plan by NASA to build on the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge is unacceptable. Our refuge is home to 500 different species of wildlife. The refuge encompasses 140,00 acres of valuable marshes and scrub oaks which are home to 15 threatened or endangered species. There were many people who attened the meetings in Titusville and New Smyrna last week. We need more! We must be heard and let NASA know the site 1 and 2 are unacceptable. They have plenty of land to build on that has already been used in the past. Those would be the options that make sense. If you would like to let them know how you feel email: KSC-CVLC@nasa.gov or call Mario Busacca, Environmental Program at 321-867-8456> Let your voice be heard!

Fishing Good Between Fronts
The fishing has been pretty good between the fronts. Timing is everything. I have lost several charters due to the weather, but spring is close and March and April are good months to fish. We have managed to boat several nice redfish during our trips. Somedays the fishing is real tough and you have to work to earn a bite. Other days the fish seem content to play with a properly placed lure. We are blessed to have such a beautiful place to fish and observe the many types of wildlife that roam the Mosquito Lagoon. Wind Blown Fish
The winds blew on Sunday, but that did not stop Jeff and his guys from catching some fish. We had 20 mph winds all day and I tried to move them to a better day. But it was the only day they could fish so we went. I even told Jeff that our chances would be slim to none on catching fish. I was wrong. The guys boated 19 trout and 6 redfish on the day. Not bad for those conditions. The fishing is improving and it seems like the weather is also. Book now for February and March. CAll 407-405-0819 Tight Lines and Good Fishing! |

We had perfect conditons and the tide was right along with the full moon. No telling what would have happened with live bait. We landed 15 snook and missed several. Sight Fishing! FUN! FUN! FUN!
This is a great time of year to fish. Especially if you like to go skinny and catch fish in a foot of water. Test your skills and see how many you can catch. It is like target practice. Sometimes the fish are tailing and sometimes they are crusing. It is a blast and really cool to see them eat your bait. You have a great feeling of accomplishment when they eat your bait. Check out the photo gallery and see some of the fish we have caught in the past week or two.

Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show
Just got back from 3 days at the boat show. Incredible show! They say Miami is bigger and I don't know how. I joined the Chris Peterson, owner of Hell's Bay Boatworks for the weekend and it was a great time. We met a lot fo people from all over the country and many from right here in Central Florida. There was one boat that was on the market for $160,000,000 and for a mere $700,000 you could go for a ride. That did not include expenses. I just broke out the check book and off we went! NOT! It was amazing to see all those boats and the price tags on them. It was a great time! Hopefully we will get back on the water toward the end fo the week. Book now for November and December. |

Weekend Update!
The weekend was exciting and we had some good times on the water. Thursday I fished with Kim and Steve Kleinlein. Steve had fished with me before, but Kim had never been on the flats. What a great day for both Kim and Steve as they boated some nice redfish. They had two double hook-ups and some nice redfish were landed. We looked at some manatees and dolphin them called it a day. Great fun! Friday and Saturday I fished the Redbone Celebrity Tournament. Theis event supports Cystic Fibirosis and it is a fun event. I fished for Team Hell's Bay and JC and Jake did a great job. We were tied for third place after day one with a good shot to win. Well, day two the fish did not cooperate as well, but we managed to finish in 6th place. The great thing about these events is everyone wins because it if for a good cause. We had a blast. RADIO SHOW THIS SATURDAY FROM 6 AM to 8AM on ESPN RADIO WIXC 1060 am and WAMT 1190. Great Fishing! 84 Reds- Friday = 8 Saturday =32 Sunday = 28 Monday = 16!
The last 4 days have been awesome! We have boated 84 redfish in the since Friday. Friday was the slowest day of the four. Craig and Tom landed 8 redfish and some real nice trout. It was a fun day on the water. Saturday was a multi-boat charter and the fish were on fire. I was joined by Roger Adkins and Laurie Esler of Ringpower. They lit it up and boated 32 redfish on the day. Laurie had never fished much and after a few casting lessons she put a hurtin' on the reds. Sunday was just about as hot. Darren House and Doug Smith joined me again for the "Hunt for Reds' tournament. The idea is to catch the fish with the most spots. We managed a six spot fish out of the 28 we landed. We missed a few but had a blast catching fish all day. Monday my good friend and client Carl Rosa joined me for a day of fun and relaxation. What a great day! We boated 16 redfish and 3 nice trout. It was an awesome morning of fishing! The rest of this week is taken with Tuesday and Wednesday off. BOOK NOW FOR THE REST OF OCTOBER! Call 407-405-0819! Solid Day of Fishing!
Craig and his son Ashley came from England to try flats fishing and they had a real nice day. Ashley got the first redfish and then it was steady action most of the day. Craig landed some real nice redfish and we ended up boating 12 reds for the day. Along with the redfish we got 4 nice trout and several smaller ones. The fun fish of the day came when Craig jumped a 10-12 pound tarpon. The fish hit right by the boat and jumped about 4 feet out of the water before spitting the hook. The guys got a close look at some manatees today also. It was just a great day with some fun guys the other side of the big pond. BOOK Now For October and November. Tight Lines and Good Fishing! |

Smokin' Hot, Hot, Warm - Friday -Sunday Report
Friday was off the charts! I was joined by Dave Hendrick, and his friends Travis and Bob. Bob had never caught a redfish before. Well, that has changed now. The trio hooked 61 redfish and landed 56! It was totally insane from the first cast until 9:30 the bite was non-stop. Even after it slowed we never went more than 10 minutes without a fish. Great guys, great fishing and most importantly great fun! The guys tied my boat record for the most reds on a charter. Saturday was another hot day of fishing. Alan Falk from Alabama joined me and accomplished a first for him, he got his first snook! Alan had 3 reds and snook in the boat before 7 am. We ended up with 8 redfish and the snook for the first part of the morning. We had shots at some big redfish until another boat decided to idle all the way across the flat. Oh well. We left the first spot and found a great trout and ladyfish bite. We caught over 30 of the trout and ladyfish. Saturday started witha bang as Alan popped a 2-1/2 pound trout right away. Then it was totally cold for the next hour. We went to another spot and poled the flat. This area had been producing some nice fish. Alan got 1 red. Maybe the weather had something to do with the day. We did manage to catch a few more trout. It was a great two days of fishing! We had some great fun!

Slam Today!
What a fun day on the water for Rob and Becky. The day started with Rob landing a 37 inch redfish on a MirrOmullet top water plug. It looked like Jaws chasing down a victim. After that we got a few trout and moved to the next spot. Rob broke out the fly rod and nabbed a 26 inch snook. The slam was complete. What to do next? We head to the next stop and find plenty of bait. In the distance (300 yards) I see bait flying and fish crashing. It looked like jacks from that distance. No, it was redfish in the 20-40 pound range. We got to the fish and tossed out the MirrOlure Top Dog Jr. and we tripled up on big reds! Awesome! We lost the school as they headed to deep water. As I poled the shoreline we had shots at a tarpon and several black drum which would have given us a grand slam. Rob pulled out 2 more redfish and we called it a day! Becky landed the largest fish of the day! New photos in gallery! Tight Lines and Good Fishing! |

Nice Reds Despite the Wind
We did not catch as many fish the last 2 trips, but there were some quality fish landed. After taking Monday and Tuesday off it was back to the fishing. Things were a little different this past week. We had a low pressure area sitting off the coast and it was windy, windy ,windy! Despite the wind we managed some nice fish. Richard Blough got 4 nice redfish and we added a few trout and ladyfish on Wednesday. We had a great time! Friday the wind was really humping out of the northeast. Darren and Craig joined me for what I knew would be a tough day. Even with the howling winds Darren landed a huge red. We got a few whiskered sea bass (aka catfish) also. We still had a great time. Starting Sunday I will be on the water 18 straight days unless the weather changes that, so book now for October. I do have other guides which I highly recommend so call if you need to go in September. Call 407 -405-0819! Photos in Gallery. Tight Lines and Good Fishing! |

Weekend Update!

The fishing remained solid on Saturday. I was joined by Don Beverly, Lloyd Beverly and Jake. Don and his brother own Harrell and Beverly Transmission Service in Sanford. They maintain my Exterra and do a great job. The fishing was a little slower but we did manage to land 7 redfish today. We had to work hard for the fish. We had shots at some real big reds, but they did not want to play. We had a lot of fun and some good laughs today. Sunday produced a windy day. I was joined by long time clients Ted and Rick Haines and their friend Paul Zirakian. We were on a school of big reds right away, but they did not play. Finally after an hour or so of great effort by the guys Paul was rewarded with a 25 pound redfish. We left that school and fished another school for 2 hours. The fish were out of their minds and would not eat today. We landed a few trout and hooked a ladyfish. It was fun as always and we had a great time. Sometimes the fish don't cooperate. Fantastic Week of Fishing!
This past week has been great! Wednesday Rick Vrabel and his son Tanner joined me for some fast and furious redfish action. The duo boated 17 redfish and Tanner had a monster fish shake the hook after a 20 minute fight. After the redfish slowed we nailed a few trout and ladyfish and called it a day. It was an awesome day for the guys from Texas. Thursday I was joined by my client Dan Shaw and his boys Jake and Justin. What a fun day. Jake landed the first fish of the morning before the sun was up. The fish just happened to be 15 pounds of redfish. We caught 10 more redfish before the day was over. The boys also landed a few trout. ANother fun day on the water. Friday was another fun day as Bob Rowlette, his wife Jan and their daughter Merideth. The ladies put a hurtin' on Bob. The Bite is Hot and The SLOBBERKNOCKERS Are Chewin'
The bite is great and my clients have landed 3 redfish over 40 pound since Friday. Two of the fish pushed close to 50 pounds. Keith York landed one that was real close and so did RJ Barnica. Using the weight formula the fish was 49 pounds. RJ is only 9 years old. That is the second largest fish ever caught on my boat. Heck, I have never landed one that big. Plan your trip now with one of the most booked guides on the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River Lagoon. I average 20 charters per month. We are averaging 12-15 redfish per day and a whole bunch of trout. There is a reason for that, I LOVE SEEING YOU CATCH FISH! WE HAVE FUN AND THAT IS THE MOST IMPOTRTANT THING! This week has been awesome fishing! Thursday John and Cindy caught some real nice redfish and a whole bunch of trout. Cindy became an official member of the SLOBBERKNOCKER CLUB! Nice fish Cindy! Remember the "Ron Phase" Friday was another great day. I was joined by two long time clients and friends Keith and Will. The day started early with Keith landing a nice red before sunrise. That was just the beginning. Both Keith and Will landed some big redfish!. The fish of the week belongs to Keith! I did not weigh the fish so I could have a safe release. The fish was 40 plus pounds. The picture tells the story. After landing 9 redfish we played with over 40 trout to finish the day. What a great week! BOOK NOW FOR SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER! I do have August 22 and 30 open. INCREDIBLE DAY!!!!!
Dean Shoemaker and his 10 year old son Tyler joined me today for an INCREDIBLE day of fishing. Dean and Tyler landed 17 redfish today with the largest over 30 pounds. The guys used a team effort to land the big SLOBBERKNOCKER! After catching all the redfish we went trout fishing and it was pure catching. I lost count of how many trout we landed but it was every cast for a solid hour. The first 20 minutes the trout were 16 -23 inches and we also got a few ladyfish. When I first spotted the fish they looked like jacks. They were crashing glass minnows. It was totally awesome! Tyler kept count of the fish hed landed and it was 43 just for him. A modest estimate between trout, redfish and ladyfish would be over 70 fish total. It was a stellar day! We had a blast today! July Ends With A BANG!
July ended the way it began, HOT! Today I was joined by Scott, his son Stewart, and Scott's nephew Ryan. These guys came all the way from Scotland to catch big reds. The big boys cooperated and Stewart landed the big fish of the day, a 35 pound Slobberknocker. All three guys got big fish and the we played with a few torut, ladyfish and two nice sailcats. It was an awesome day. Last Thursday and Friday were also very good days for big reds. On Thursday Scott Tremaine, his wife Gina and there two boys enjoyed a fun day. Gina landed the big fish which was 34 pounds and Scott landed two more big fish. The boys helped fight the big ones also. After that we hit the ladyfish, sailcats and trout. It was a blast. Friday Sam Miller boated some really nice reds with the largest weighing 28 pounds. No photos for Sam's fish because my camera died. July was a great month. We landed big redfish on 17 out of 20 charters. There were three trips which the big fish did not cooperate or we had a hook pull or line break. I want to thank everyone for fishing with me in July and look forward to seeing everyone soon. I have 19 days booked for August and it should be another great month. What A Great Week So Far! Hot fishing!
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were three great days of fishing. Monday I was joined by Chris and Laurel for day of testing a boat and fishing. We fished from a Hell's Bay Devil Ray. It is a 14 foot boat and I was impressed by the boat. The fishing was even better. Chris and Laurel doubled up. The cool thing was Chris was using a fly and Laurel was casting a MirrOLure 17 MR. Chris managed to land two fish on fly. We boated 8 fish for the day. Laurel got the big fish of the day that went 14 pounds. Tuesday I was joined by JC and Jake. There dad is the owner of Hell's Bay and I took them out for their birthdays. We had a great day as we landed 7 slot reds to start the day. Then the dolphin put on show. We would release the fish away from the dolphin and the fish would go under the boat to hide. The dolphin would charge the boat and the fish would leave and bam, he was chewed up by the dolphin. I thought the dolphin were going to jump in the boat. We left that spot and went for big fish. We found them and JC hooked and landed a 29 pound redfish. After that we found another school and Jake got a 17 pounder to end the day. I will post JC's fish when I get the photo. My camera was acting funny. Wednesday I had three generations a when Carl Rivenbark, his son David and grandson Zach joined me for some fun. What a great day as we boated 1 small red, 7 reds that were between 15 and twenty pounds and the BIG SLOBBERKNOCKER that David landed. This photo does not do justice to this fish. The fish had massive shoulders and girth. It was all I could do to lift it over the side of the boat. We had a blast! What a great week and now is the time to book your day! I have few July days open and already have 15 days booked in August! Call now 407-405-0819 to book your chance at a SLOBBERKNOCKER! Tight Lines and Good Fishing! Capt. David

Two Hot Days of Fishing!
The last two days have been great fishing! Saturday I was joined by John Wilbur, Annie and Mike. We landed 8 awesome redfish between 24 and 32 inches with the largest fish going 11 pounds. We tried for some big fish but they were not cooperating. We finished the day catching some real nice trout. Redfish and trout make for an awesome dinner. Sunday I was joined by long time client and friend Carl Rosa and Mike Popwell. The MirrOLure 17 MR MirrODine was on fire as we got 12 nice redfish between 20 and 32 inches. We had some shots at some big reds again but they were not interested. Mike landed the largest redfish and it weighed 12 pounds. We got a few small trout and callled it a day. See you guys in August! The Slobberknockers seem to be fasting the last few days. That will not last long. Book now for late July and August! Tight Lines and Good Fishing! 407-405-0819 |

Fishing With my Son
Tuesday was an off day so I took my son and Steve C fishing. What a great time we had. My son landed two fish that weighed close to 25 pounds. It is fun to watch him battle these fish. Each year he gets a little stronger and his angling skills are pretty good. He did an awesome job fighting the fish. We also caught quite a few trout and ladyfish. Hard to beat memories like that. July 4 I was joined by Wenday and Shane. The weather was not ideal but we had a good day. Wendy started the morning by catching the first four fish. Shane got on the board with a nice 14 pound redfish. The reds were not behaving very well so we opted for some trout and ladyfish action. We ended up with 3 keeper trout and several ladyfish. Wendy also caught a bluefish, a croaker and a catfish to go along with her trout. Thursday Maureen and Chris joined me and Chris landed a nice 13 pound redfish. Maureen landed the largest fish of the day at 35 pounds. We were catching a few trout and ladyfish when the weather went south. Needless to say we got alittle wet. It was a great time! Book now for July and August. Come catch a SLOBBERKNOCKER! Tight Lines and Good Fishing Captain David

June Finishes Strong - Fireworks To Start July

The month of June ended with 14 year old Ben landing 2 big 25 pound redfish. The weather forced us off the water by 9 a.m. or Ben would have landed a few more. He did and awesome job! July 1st was a great day on the water. I was joined by Falon, Lauren and Marge for a great day of fishing. The ladies hooked 9 SLOBBERKNOCKERS and landed 7. Falon put the largest fish in the boat at 36 pounds. Lauren was not far behind and Marge got some quality fish. What a way to start the month! BOOK NOW SO YOU CAN LAND A SLOBBERKNOCKER! "Doc" and Crew Land Some Nice Reds
I fished with an old friend on Monday. I was joined by a former co-worker Jim "Doc" Terwilliger, Randy Bratton and JT. The morning started with a big slurp as a nice redfish smakced Doc's MirrOLure Poppa Dog. It was still dark when the fish inhaled the plug. Doc had a nice battle for the next 10-12 minutes. After landing the fish we snapped a few photos and then JT was nailed by a red on the MirrOLure 17 MR. This was a nice 22 inch redfish which they took home for dinner. We left that area and headed to the next stop. We found a school of 200 plus reds and JT nailed one that went 28 inches. The school was real spooky after that so we moved on. Now it was Randy's turn and Randy got a nice 14 pound redfish out of a school of 150 redfish. Randy battled his fish for a good 15 minutes as the fish refused to give up. After boating the fish we were moving in for another shot when another boat came in and ran right over the school. Needless to say that school was finished. We went to catch some trout and JT caught one before the weather went south. It was a great day and we had a blast.

Hot-Hot-Hot Fishing BIG SLOBBERKNOCKER REDS
The fishing has been really great for the month of June. July will be just as good if not better. We are catching big redfish everyday and the weather is great. Friday I was joined by an old friend from High School Jeff Forbes and his wife Lisa. We had an absolute blast. Both Jeff and Lisa got the largest redfish they have ever caught. That just topped off my week. Jeff and I were able to catch up on a few things and it was a great day. That is exactly why I love this job, if you can call it a job. Thanks! Now is the time to book for July. I have been really busy the last 4 months averaging 20 charters per month. I book fast in July and August. Give me a call and let's go get a trophy redfish! 407-405-0819 Thanks for stopping by the site! Solid Fishing/Semianr Tonight
Wednesday was another solid day of big redfish. I was joined by Paul and Cynthia Taylor of Texas. They had fished with me last year and we did well on the big reds. This year was no different. The fish were there and we had a nice day of catching some big fish. Paul landed the largest fish this year, but Cynthia had the largest last year. Paul also had the biggest fish of the day pull the hook. The fish got into some grass and wiggled free. It was an awesome day on th water. We did get two ladyfish later. Thursday was the last of 3 days fishing with my friends from Wales, Barrie and Gavin. These guys are fun to fish with and we had a blast. Gavin was up a few fish on Barrie, but today was Barrie's day. The conditions were a little tough with clouds above and very little sunshine. We were on tailing fish from the start. Barrie hooked the first fish 2 hours later. The next fish came much sooner than the first and then Barrie landed his third. Finally Gavin hooked into a good fish and the fish hit a crab pot and broke the line. It was not long after that that Gavin hooked and landed his big red for the day. The wind and clouds only got worse and made for tough sight fishing. Thanks for a great 3 days Barrie and Gavin!
Book now for July and August. I will be at Gander Mountain in Lake Mary tonight at 7 p.m.

Redfish A Little Fussy Monday and Tuesday
The fishing was okay the last 2 days. We managed to boat 3 big reds each day. Monday Barrie and Gavin from Wales joined me again. We boated 3 reds between 15 and 20 pounds along with a few nice trout and Barrie got his first ladyfish. Great guys to fish with and we had a fun day at the office. Tuesday I was joined by Ray and Joe from Texas. We were on schools all day and had five bites and landed 3 nice redfish. Ray got the first one and Joe landed the next 2 fish. One of Joe's pushed the 25 pound mark. It was each of the guys first redfish. Not a bad way to start. Each day is a new experience and a lot of fun. Book now for July. Tight Lines and Good Fishing! Hot Father's Day Fishing
What a great day! I was joined by Chris Norton today. His wife set the trip up for a fahter's day gift and it was a blast! We worked a school for 4 hours today. Chris even let me catch one today which went about 25 pounds. Things started funny as we broke off on the first fish. Chris then latched into a real nice red about 15 pounds. The next 2 pulled the hook and then Chris got a few more. The last fish was the "SLOBBERKNOCKER" we came for. The fish was a little over 35 pounds. It was a big one. He did catch one more red later that was the great, great, great, great grandchild of the big one. It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed some great company. Photos in Gallery. The Fishing is Hot and the Weather is Great!
What a way to end the week! Friday I fished with Chris Peterson, owner of Hell's Bay Boatworks, and we caught 2 real nice reds. We only fished a couple of hours and had to leave the fish while they were chewing. Chris got a nice red around 25 pounds and I even got to catch one about 18 pounds. It was a fun day! Today I was joined by John Lasine and his son John. What a fun day as the guys boated 6 redfish and John Jr. had a real big one on for 20 minutes before the hook pulled. We had 3 fish hooked up at one point. Both guys did a great job. I was real impressed by the way John Jr. could see the fish. I had an absolute blast today! Book now for hot July fishing! Don't wait until the days are gone. August is great also! 407-405-0819

Local Ladies Score Big Fish!
What a great way to finish 8 straight days on the water. Monday I was joined by my friend from the UK Barrie and his son Gavin. We started the morning on a school of slot fish and did real well. After the sun got a little higher we went for the big reds and we scored big. Gavin started with a 25 pound fish and Barrie ended the day with a 30 plus pound SLOBBERKNOCKER! What great guys to fish with. I will see them again next Monday and Thursday. Tuesday I was joined by long time client and friend Ted Haines and his girlfriend Amy. We went straight to a school of 200 plus redfish. We started slow by pulling the hook on two fish. After that it was lights out. We landed 6 to finish the day. All the fish were between 14 and 21 pounds. We had to leave at 9:30 due to stormy weather. Wednesday I was joined by two really nice young ladies, Brenna and Lynsee. The girls proved to be pretty darn good as they boated 4 reds between 12 and 20 pounds. After that we went to do a little trout fishing. We managed a few trout and Brenna got a big ladyfish. What a great day! Starting Sunday I have 12 of the last 14 days of June booked. Now is the time to book for July and August. Those days go fast! Angela and Tom both caught their first redfish also. We mixed it up today with some trout and ladyfish also. Tom even caught a blowfish on a spoon. The day ended with Peggy's big fish. Saturday Mike caught his first big redfish. The whole week produced 5 redfish over 30 pounds and 2 reds at or over 40 pounds. We also caught some nice slot fish and trout. May Ends with some Nice Redfish!
May ended with some quality fish the last 2 days. I was joined by Danny Anderson and his sons Zach and Davis. Both Zach and Davis landed their first redfish ever and Danny also laned a nice red. We had a real nice day and the guys took a few home for dinner. Charlie Maguire and his son CJ closed out the month with some quality fish. We had an awesome time working some really big schools and CJ caught his largest red to date. Considering we dealt with strong winds we did well. The weather men were off as usual. June begins Friday and they are talking tropical stuff on the news. We need the rain but hopefully that is all we get. I am ready for some calm mornings like we are supposed to have. Great Day On The Water!
All days are great when you are on the water, but today was awesome. I was joined by Barney Hunsinger and his grandson Adam. A very nice graduation gift for Adam. The fishing was pretty darn good also. We got on a nice school this morning and caught a bunch. The first fish of the day was a 31 inch red and the rest were all in the slot. Then Adam was reeling in a gold spoon when a huge trout hit right by the boat. Adam fought the fish for a few minutes and finally the trout shook his head and spit the hook. It was a good trout. Around 9:00 a.m we lost the fish. We got another school and followed them around for an hour or so. They would not let us get too close. There were several hundred in the school. We added a few more trout and called it a day. One day the wind may lay down. BOOK NOW FOR JUNE AND JULY! Tight Lines and Good Fishing! |

WIND-WIND-WIND

What a WINDY week it has been. I have rescheduled all of my trips for the past four days. Not saying we could not have caught some fish, but it would not be as much fun for everyone involved. I like taking people out to enjoy the day and catch some fish. A 2-3 foot chop on the Mosquito Lagoon is not always fun or safe. Looks like things will settle down by Tuesday so we can get back out. I hope everyone has a safe Memorial Day! God Bless Our Troops! |

We found 2 schools of slot fish and boated 9 for the day. We also found a school of small tarpon. Joe jumped one tarpon and fought him for 10 minutes before he spit the hook. The tarpon was about 10-12 pounds and jumped 4 feet out of thee water. Then Mark managed a nice 4 pound trout. I even got to catch a couple on Friday. Even with the passing storm we managed some nice fish this past week. Deron Upton caught the big fish of the week and my camera took a dive. I did manage a photo of Deron before the camera died. Today was an awesome day as I was joined by Keith York, a long time client and friend. His friend Jeremy came down form Atlanta to battle some reds. We had a great day catching some nice reds in the 10-15 pound range. Jeremy did have a camera and will be e-mailing some photos so I can post them. Looks like Monday will be a blow out, but the rest of the week looks good. Please let this be the last front of the year. I am ready for some Florida heat and so are the fish. We fished a huge school today and they were chewing. June is always a great month so book now. Just call me at 407-405-0819 or e-mail. Have a great week! Capt. David |

Jessica and Ruth Lecy started the day off with a bang as they doubled up on monster red drum (aka redfish). That was just the beginning of a great day on the Mosquito Lagoon. Both ladies landed two more "SLOBBERKNOCKERS" later in the morning. We did have one fish pull the hook, but it does not get any better. After we played with the reds we caught a few trout and ladyfish. Now is the time to book for GIANT REDFISH! Hope to here from you soon. April Starts off with a Bang!

What an awesome day on the Mosquito Lagoon! Roy Lecy and Bob Sorenson of Minnesota caught some big ol' Slobberknockers today. Bob started the day with a 24-25 pound fish. Moments later the school was tailing and both guys doubled up. Bob landed a 28 pound fish and Roy's fish went over 30 pounds. Roy hooked two other fish and one fish lifted his head out of the water and shook the hook. That in itself was pretty awesome. What a great way to start April, especially for Roy as it was his birthday. Book now for a hot April, May and June! Photos are coming as soon as I download them. Call now 407-405-0819! |

If you are interested in going in April call soon. I am also booking for May and June. Hope to hear from you and let's go catch some fish. Tight Lines and Good Fishing! 407-405-0819

Hot Fishing! Great Weather
This last couple of days have been great. Besides catching a bunch of fish, the weather has been awesome. It was little windy earleir in the week, but the winds are beginning to subside and the fish are going nuts. The school today was crashing mullet and chewing like crazy. This is just a sign of things to come. April is filling fast and so is May. Book your day now. I have no open days for March. Hope to hear from you soon! 407-405-0819 Tight Lines and Good Fishing! |

Fishing Is Solid and Steady
The fishing is steady and holding in the Mosquito Lagoon. We have had nice catches of slot reds. There are schools all over the flats an will eat with a good presentation. The big fish are beginning to show on a steady basis and once the cold fronts stop moving through the big fish will become more consistent. Right now you could spend 2 or 3 hours for one fish. I would rather catch 10 slots. The trout bite has also been good. The trout fishing should get real good in April and remain solid through the summer. Book now for April it is filling up quickly. It is also a good time to book for May and June. I average 20 charters per month from May through October. Hope to hear from you. 407-405-0819 Tight Lines and Good Fishing! |

Solid Fishing/Seminar Tonight
The fishing has been steady this past week and should get real good as the water temps rise. When the temps rise the metabolisim of the fish increase and they become more aggressive and will knock the slobber out of a top water plug. There are 6 schools of big reds scattered in the lagoon system. The big fish have been okay, but as the water temps rise they will begin to feed more often. The trout bite has been very good. I have had days catching over 50 trout in a trip. Book now for April! I will be at Gander Mountain tonight at 7 p.m. discussing big fish tactics. Come early the seats fill fast! Trout and Reds Are Chewin'
This past Friday and Saturday were cold and windy. That did not stop the fish from chewing. Friday Mike and David were able to land 17 trout and 3 redfish. The largest trout landed was just under 5 pounds, but the one trout that was over 6 pounds wiggled free at the boat. Eight of the 17 trout went better than 2 pounds. Saturday was another solid day as Chris and Mike landed 18 trout and 3 redfish. Mike caught 2 trout over 3 pounds with the largest weighing 4 pounds. We managed 9 keeper size trout. This week looks like great weather. We will climb back into the high 70's by midweek. March is filling fast with 11 days already booked. If you would like to experience the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River Lagoon call now and book your adventure. I am also taking reservations for April. 407-405-0819 Tight Lines and Good Fishing Captain David |

Deep Blue Water, Tons of Reds on the Flats, New Photos
I am trying to catch up on my reports again. I have been on the water for 10 straight days. I was able to take one day and do a little deep water fishing with Scott Bradford and Mark Blythe. Thanks Scott for a fun day of fishing and some nice dolphin and kings. Photos in the gallery. The redfish have been very active and today we saw over 1200 fish in four differnet schools. Nate Weigand was able to get a huge fish today and it took 45 minutes to land the fish. Monday was another fun day as John Cressman was able to land some nice reds and the first red on fly this year. TJ, John and Mark form Oklahoma also mangaed some nice fish. Mark landed th fish of the day with a 13 pound redfish. Some days have been very productive and others a little slower, but we are catching nice fish on every trip. I still have a few open days in February and March is filling fast. If you would like to experience a fun day on the water give me a call at 407-405-0819! Tight Lines and Good fishing! I will also be at Gander Mountain Thursday at 7p.m. |

Catching up Report
I have been pretty busy so I am catching up in a few ways. Saturday I was joined by Steve and his daughter for some redfish action. We had a great time and the redfish were all over the flats. Steve got the big fish of the day. It was a great time! Monday and Tuesday I did some real catching up. I went bass fishing for the first time in 11 years. I was called to do a 30 boat charter on the Harris Chain. The first day was tough with cold front conditions. Everyone struggled to catch fish. The most caught by any boat was 4 bass. Well, I changed my tactics on Tuesday and did pretty well. We landed 7 bass and had a great day. David and Denny with Davey Tree Company did awesome. It was a fun day, but I still prefer the saltwater. It was still a blast. Photos in the gallery. I am booking for February and March and stiil have some opening this month. They are filling quick, so give me a call and let's go fishing! Tight Lines and Good Fishing! |

Fishing Continues to Be Solid
There are large schools of redfish spread out across the lagoon. There are also schools of large redfish in the 15-40 pound range in some other areas. Now is the time to start booking for the big fish. I fill up pretty quick with my regular clients. There are solid numbers of trout to be caught also. I have been catching well over 25-30 per trip and sometimes as many as 60. It really depends on what you would like to do on a charter. It is not hard to catch 10-15 reds per trip and then catch some trout. Hope to hear from you and let's go fishing. Tight Lines and Good Fishing! 407-405-0819 |

Trout, Trout and Redfish
This past week has produced some big numbers in the trout category. Thursday we boated somewhere around 40 trout with 4 nice redfish mixed in to top the day. Friday was an awesome day for trout. I was joined by Doug Childs and we boated over 60 trout. The highlight of the day was when Doug sight casted to a 5 pound trout. It was Doug's largest trout to date. Sight casting to a trout in shallow water and landing him is one of the hardest catches in inshore fishing. Doug also landed a 3-1/2 pounder. I know it made my day when he caught that big trout. Saturday I was joined by the Cavender family and we managed to land around 25 trout. The redfish were not very cooperative this past week. I can't wait for this week to start. The bite should be soilid and large schools will be in certain locations. There have aslo been some schools of big redfish showing up. I still have a few openings in January and February. Just give me a call at 407-405-0819 and book your adventure today. Tight Lines and Good Fishing! |

Solid Redfish and Trout
The past two days have been solid for catching redfish and trout. Thursday I was joined by "Shoeless" Joe and we had a very solid day. We started the day on a school of 150 or so redfish and pulled 5 solid fish from the school. We moved after an hour and headed to another area where there was a school of 100 plus redfish. We made some great casts to the fish but they were not interested. Moving to spot number three we fished some sand holes and grass ans caught 9 more redfish and some solid 4 pound trout. After that we called it a day. Friday I was joined by Paul Pedersen and his dad Pete. We started the morning fishing a school of 75 or so fish and boated our first fish in 15 minutes. The next redfish we boated was a soild upper slot fish that weighed in at 7 pounds. We fished the school until the wind picked up and caught 4 more. The second stop was also very productive as weboated 4 nice trout and 5 more redfish. Then somebody turned on the fan and the winds got really strong. We went to a trout hole and pulled out 10 or 11 trout. With some real nice white caps we called it a day. The fishing is good and if you would like to book a day I have a few openings left in January. Just call me at 407-405-0819. 65 Trout with my son Dylan
What a great day on Monday. I took my 8 year old son Dyaln out for the day. The boy loves to fish. He has been fishing since he was 2-1/2 and he loves the water. We started the day sight casting a 6 pound trout and few redfish. Then we went to one of my favorite winter time trout spots and caught 65 more trout. Dylan likes to keep score and see who wins. What an awesome day and a day I know he will never forget. Memories like this are hard to beat. If you would like a memorable day with your son or daughter give me a call and we can put a trip together. Have a great day! Tight Lines and Good Fishing Captain David 407-405-0819 |

A Couple Of Awesome Days
Wednesday was a great day. I was joined by Jim Powers, fishing manager at Gander Mountain. We had an awesome day. We boated 14 redfish and several nice trout. Jim boated one trout that went a little over 5 pounds. We also landed some quality redfish. Sight fishing was not easy due to a few rain showers and wind in the early part of the day. We only had 4 fish in the boat until about 12:30p.m. The winds laid down and the sun peaked through the clouds and then things got exciting. We managed to sight cast several fish. I lost a huge trout when the hook pulled. It happens. All in all we had a great time and ended the day with double redfish. Thursday was another awesome day. I was joined by Gail Travis, her son Jay and her father. We had a great time and manged to sight cast several nice fish. Gail caught the big fish of the day with her 14 pound redfish. Jay did an awesome job sight casting some quality redfish. I always like to have 3 generations on the boat. It is just quality time and company. The fishing has been great and even with a lttle wind the bite has been steady. Now is the time to book. If you book between now and Christmas you can take $25 off any charter. Gift certificates make a great surprise at Christmas. Hope to hear form you soon. Have a great day! Tight Lines and Good Fishing! Captain David 407-405-0819 |

Three Excelllent Days Of Fishing
The past few days have produced some nice redfish and trout. Friday we managed to boat several nice redfish and two real nice trout. Saturday the fish were really chewing. We hooked 13 redfish and boated 11 on spoons. The winds were blowing and we had a few little sprinkles of rain. That did not stop the fish from eating. The first fish of the morning was an 11-1/2 pounder. We caught 10 more before the end of the day on a four hour charter. It looks like the week ahead has some nice weather with tempatures in the 80's. The fish should feed well. A charter makes a great Christmas gift. Call today and book your adventure. Sight Fishing Still the Way to Go
The sight fishing remains excellent in the Mosquito Lagoon. We were able to put many nice redfish in the boat from last Friday through Sunday. The fish were a ltittle fussy on Friday, but the bite was solid on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday was awesome as the winds laid down around 2:30 in the afternoon and there were redfish tails everywhere. We also managed a few nice trout in the 3-5 pound range. Tuesday was not a day to fish. The winds were blowing 20-25 mph and anyone who went out that day had no sense. I had a charter booked for Tuesday, but I canceled. Any smart guide would have canceled. I want people to be able to enjoy themselves and enjoy the whole experience. I was able to reschedule my Wednesday charter until Friday. This is a wonderful time to fish the shallow waters and most windy (not 20-25 mph) days you are able to hide in the back country and fish very skinny water. If you would like to get out on the water, shoot me an e-mail or call me at 407-405-0819 and book your adventure today. I will be at the Gander Mountain in Lake Mary on December 7, 2006 from 7-8 p.m. for a question and answer session on "Skinny Water Fishing". Trey Newton , owner of Karma Rods will be joining me. Please check the next issue of Onshore-Offshore Magazine. I will have an article about the skinny water. The magazine can be found along the west coast of Florida, Jacksonville, St. Augustine, the east coast of Florida and in the Orlando area. Have a GREAT THANKSGIVING! Tight Lines and Good Fishing! |

Sight Fishing is Still Hot!
The last two days are the exact reasons I love the winter months. Capt. Jon Lulay and I did a little scouting the last two days to prepare for future charters. The fish did not let us down. We hit the water Tuesday around noon and fished for four hours. We had tailing fish in less than a foot of water almost the entire time we fished. One fish launched himself at my shrimp and missed. I tossed it right back at him and he nailed the bait. One shoreline yeilded 6 of our 10 redfish in a one hour stretch. We fished two other banks which held several more tailing fish. We hooked a total of 13 fish and boated 10. Every fish we caught was tailing. Wednesday was another solid day as we boated 8 nice redfish with the winds kicking pretty strong out of the southwest. We fished from 9:30a.m until 1:00 p.m. One fish was lying in a pothole just a few feet from the boat. I tossed my bait passed the fish and dropped it about 10 inches from his nose. He eased over and ate like it was his last meal. It was his lucky day. After a photo he was released. We called it a day headed toward the ramp. Sight fishing is similar to hunting with a bow and arrow. You wait until you have the perfect shot and nail the fish. The excitement of seeing the fish, casting to him and watching him eat is hard to beat. It is a feeling of accomplishment and gratification when the fish eats. We saw several nice schools of fish holding 20-30 fish today. As the weather cools the will bunch up even more. I have seen several nice schools the past few weeks. They are fun to catch also, but I love seeing the sinlges and wolfpacks. If you would like to experience this exciting style of fishing give me a call and book your trip today! 407-405-0819 Tight Lines and Good Fishing! Captain David |

Two Solid Days with a Slam
Tuesday was a great day on the Mosquito Lagoon. I had my long time clients Keith York and Will Bernazzi on the charter. We had redfish tails all around us for the better part of the day. Keith and Will are great to fish with and we boated several nice redfish and a couple of trout. Every fish we boated was caught by sight casting. The water is very clear and even though it was cloudy the fish were tailing in the shallow water. Wednesday I had a day off and fished with my good friend Captain Travis Tanner. We had a great time and manged to boat a slam. We caught redfish, trout and snook. We fished south of Titusville today and had an awesone time. One area we fished held some huge black drum, but they would not eat. It was still great seeing those big fish that I would estimate weighing in the 50 pound class. The next 4 days are booked, but I still have a few openings this month. The water is really clear and the sight fishing is awesome. Give me a call and book your adventure for November and December. I have been invited to fill in for Captain Mike Anderson on Sunday morning. I will be joing Capt. Billy Nobles and Capt. Bret Gamort of the "Reel Animals" fishing show. I call in every week and give reports, but it will be fun joining the guys in the studio. My mom always said I had a great face for radio. With the howling winds I have not been on the water since Wednesday. Next week looks like it will be great fishing. I only have Wednesday open next week. I still have openings later this month. The fishing has been great in the shallow waters of the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian river. November is a great month to fish. Give me a call and book your adventure. Sight Fishing Bite Is On! Tailing Fish Everywhere
The sight fishing is hot. Now is the time to see what you catch. Casting to tailing fish is as good as it gets. Fish are in really shallow water with their backs out of the water at times. We had an awesome day today. We casted to well over 50 fish and the bite was great. We missed a few, but the majority ate our baits. Book now for November and December. Tight Lines and Good Fishing! Variety Week
This past week has been full of variety. My clients have boated many redfish and trout, but a few have added flounder. Cari Eide had a good day on Tuesday. Cari manged to boat 5 nice redfish, a few trout and a nice 3 pound flounder. I know he ate well Tuesday. We had a great time! John Wilbur and his friends, Mark and Hassan came out and had a real nice time. We boated 7 redfish, a few trout and Mark pulled in a 5 pound flounder. This was Hassan's first flats trip and he got his first redfish. It was another fun day on the water. Now is the time to go sight fishing. Redfish and trout will be found in the shallow waters feeding. Now that our cold fronts have arrived there is no need to start too early. Get on the water around 9a.m. and you will be fine. To find out more about winter fishing come visit me at Gander Mountain in Lake Mary. I will be there Thursday, November 9, 2006 from 7pm to 8 pm in the Gander Lodge. Let's go fishin'! Book Now For October and Some Fall Fishing
October is a great month to fish the flats. This is the time of year when sight fishing is great. Many fish are caught is less than a foot of water. You will see tailing fish and fish laying in sand holes waiting on a meal. Most of the time you see the fish eat the bait. I love fishing skinny water and enjoy sharing the experience with others. Due to the shallow draft of my boat (5 inches) I am able to get to some awesome places. There is something to say about the solitude of backwater fishing. Most of the time you can hear the waves breaking beyond the dunes. It is one awesome experince. If you need to get away for a little peace and quiet now is the time. Give me a call at 407-405-0819 and book your trip today. The first week is already booked. Tight Lines and Good Fishing Captain David |

Great Karma! West Meets East
What a great day on the water! I was joined by Bret Gamrot, publisher of Onshore-Offshore Magazine and Trey Newton, owner of Karma Rods for a day of fishing. The guys drove over from Tampa real early this morning. I think the drive was worth it. We saw close to 300-350 redfish today and boated 19. It was a nice day for me as Trey volunteered to pole Bret and I around. We all got to catch some quality fish. We had 2 triple hook ups and 4 doubles. All the fish ranged from 22 -27 inches and were caught on artifical baits. We could have caught some more, but we opted for some big fish. Bret made two of the best casts you could ask for, but no takers. We all had a great time and totally enjoyed the day. The Karma Rods are unreal. They are so light, yet so strong. You realize the first time you have a fish on what a quality product Trey has designed. Bret also took some awesome photos for the next issue of Onshore-Offshore. Talk about a quality magazine with some awesome pictures and stories. When I get a day off I plan on heading west to try some snook fishing. The fishing is really good anf the fall mullet run is cranking. If you want to catch some quality fiah give a call at 407-405-0819. Tight Lines and Good Fishing! Captain David |

Fishing Still Solid
Monday was a nice day for a variety of fish. We caught over 40 trout, several jacks and ladyfish. We found 2 schools of large redfish, but they did not want to play. We had several shots and the fish just kept on moving. We had one 30 plus pounder cruise right past the boat. Again, he refused the bait. We went back to the trout holes and caught a few more to end the day. Thursday was another solid day as we boated 6 redfish and over 40 trout up to 3 pounds. The morning trout bite was awesome as we caught fish on almost every cast. We left when the sun got high and found some redfish. Our first redfish ate a top water plug. We left there and got on solid bite and landed 5 more. It was an awesome day weather wise. Look for October to be a very active month. The sight fishing will be awesome. Tight Lines and Good Fishing! This week has been very good for redfish and trout. Monday was great day as we boated 8 redfish several ladyfish and 20 plus trout in just 4 hours. I was fun fishing and scouting for charters later in the week. Found a few new schools and some real nice trout areas. Tuesday I was joined by Barrie and Gavin Reynolds of Wales. Yes, that place acorss the big pond. We were greeted by 15-20 knot winds and a heavy rain at one point. we managed 1 redfish, but caught over 40 trout with the biggest going 4 pounds. The cool fish of the day was a 6-1/2 pound sailcat which ate a popping cork with a shrimp attached. It gave Barrie quite a tussel. For the conditons we were dealt we had a good day. Thursday I was joined by Richard Wells and Bill Moore for an awesome 4 hour trip. We started the morning hooking 6 redfish and landing 5 of those. After that bite died off we hit the trout spots and caught close to 30 trout. We had a least 5 or 6 that were 2 pounds or better. I really enjoyed the morning and the company. The next 5 days are filled and hopefully the fishing will remain solid. I have a few openings left in September and I am beginning to book for October. If you would like to get in on the action and enjoy the beauty of the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River give me a shout at 407-405-0819 or e-mail me. Tight Lines and Good Fishing! Captain David |

What a day! Space Shuttle, 26 Reds and Many Trout
What a great day on the Lagoon. I was joined by Tim Blake, Paul and Lisa today for a banner day. We started the day by catching 26 redfish. Lisa caught at least 17. The bite was fast and furious. We left the first spot and headed over to see the launch. What an awesome sight. The fireball from the shuttle and the roar that followed was incredible. After the launch we headed out to try some trout fishing. We did a whole lot of catching again. Lisa was on fire today. This was her first time ever fishing the flats. She could not cast without hooking up on a fish. I really enjoyed the day and we all had great time. Book now for late September and October. The fishing is great and will be even better as we approach the fall months. Tight Lines and Good Fishing. Captain David |

Roxanne's Big Red
I was joined by Roxanne and EJ Shiver today for some fun on the water. Roxanne scored a nice big red today. We boated few reds and several trout today. Not bad for a little full moon fishing. It was a gorgeous day on the water. We thought we were going to get a bonus with a shuttle launch, but the mission was scrubbed today. Redfish are everywhere and if you know where to look you can find big fish. What an awesome fishery we have. Have a great day! |

TV Show Was a Blast
A special thanks to Captains Mike Anderson and Billy Nobles of the "Fishing Animals" TV show out of Tampa. Mike and Billy along with Captain Bret Gamrot do a weekly radio show from the Tampa area which is also broadcast on 1060 am in Orlando every Sunday morning from 8a.m.-10a.m. Bret is also the publisher of Onshore-Offshore Magazine. Mike and Billy came over today and we filmed an awesome show on the Indian River Lagoon. We boated 8 fish in the 20-28 inch range and then Billy topped the day off with a 22 pound red on a top water plug. These guys are awesome and really fun to fish with. I had a blast today. They had me laughing all day and I can't wait to see the tape. The show airs on NBC affiliate channel 8 which covers most of the west coast of Florida and South Carolina. I really enjoyed the day and look forward to doing it again. The fishing has been so good lately. There are refish in the shallow water and big fish in the deep water. The trout bite is also solid. Book now for the last 2 weeks of September and for the month of October. Hope to see you on the water. 407-405-0819. Captain David |

Labor Day Bonanza
What a great day today. You are supposed to take it easy on Labor Day. Today I made Ron Brown and his son Reece work an awful lot. The two of them boated 15 redfish before 9 a.m. It was one fish after another and they did a super job for first time flats fishermen. I had an aboslute blast and really enjoyed seeing these guys catch some nice fish. After we caught those fish we went in search of other fish. The big fish were hiding today with all the boats so we caught some trout and a few other fish. It was a beautiful day on the waters of Central Florida. There are still some openings for September and I am also taking reservations for October. Hope to hear from you. 407-405-0819. Tight Lines and Good Fishing! |

The Andria and Doug Show
What another great day on the waters of East Central Florida! Today I was joined by Andria and Doug Childs. Doug had quite a day yesterday. Today was Andria's day. We started the morning catching ladyfish and trout. We caught a whole bunch. The mission today was to have Andria catch her first redfish. After locating a large school of big reds Doug and Andria launched their top water plugs toward the school and WHAM! They had a double hook up. Both anglers fought their fish for about 20 minutes before landing them. Needless to say Andria's first redfish was mighty big. The fish measured 42 inches and weighed around 26-28 pounds. Doug's fish was around 38 inches and 15 pounds. After a few photos we stalked the school again. Doug hooks up and battled a monster fish for 20-25 minutes. This fish was 48 inches and weighed in at 33 pounds. I really love this job. I get so much pleasure watching people catch these magnificent fish. If you would like to try it just call 407-405-0819 and book your chance for a trophy redfish. Tigh Lines and Good Fishing! |

What an Awesome Day!
I was joined by Doug Childs today and we had a super day. We started the morning with slot reds and a few over. Doug hooked 11 fish in the morning and boated 9. Two of the bigger fish measured at 31-1/2 inches and 32 inches. After that we went off to look for the "SLOBBERKNOCKERS". We got on them and Doug landed 2 monsters. One fish went 48 inches and around 28-30 pounds while the other went 44 inches and around 24 pounds. We hooked 5 big fish total but one broke off in the school, one pulled the hook and the other fish straightened out the split ring on the top water plug. Doug did a great job placing the cast in front of the fish. We will be back at it Sunday for another round of action. NOW IS THE TIME TO BOOK FOR BIG REDFISH! If you would like to see a 25-30 pound "SLOBBERKNOCKER" mash a top water plug call today! Tight Lines and Good Fishing Captain David 407-405-0819 |

Another Great Day Depsite the Wind
Carl and Steve joined me today for a fun day of fishing. Carl just can't get enough. It is easy to see why, he loves fishing and he caught some more beauties today. We also had some tarpon roll up on top water plugs. I am still trying to figure out how they missed the bait. It looks like Wednesday and Thursday might be a blow out. We will right back a on the water Friday and all the way through September 9. I have 1 open day in that time. September is awesome. Tight lines and good fishing. Double Duty Redfish
I ran a double charter on Friday and what a day it proved to be for my clients. My morning charter was with Joe Gumble and his wife Ashley. We hooked 9 fish and boated some real nice ones. One fish was around the 32 pound mark. It was an awesome morning. The afternoon brought torrential rain and lighting. I went and ate lunch and then met my clients (also my dentist) Kelly and David Harden around 4:30. We went out and what a great afternoon. Our first stop we doubled up on monster reds. David landed his 40 pound red, but Kelly's wiggled free. We left those fish and caught some trout. The we hit the mother load. We hooked a total of 10 fish . See the photos. |

RED HOT REDS!!!!!!!!!
The fishing is awesome. We are catching some beautiful trophy fish right now. It is a sight to behold. When you see 500 redfish swimming under the boat and you are hooked up on a 30 plus pound fish you will know what I mean. Priceless to say the least. Book now and don't miss your chance for that fish of a lifetime. Give me a shout and let's go catch a big "SLOBBERKNOCKER". 407-405-0819 Tight lines and good fishing. Captain David |

IT IS ON! BIG REDS ON TOP!
I'm so excited I just can't hide it! Sounds like that would make a good song. Oh yeah it is. Guys now is the time. For the next month a trophy red is waiting for you! Today was another killer day! 11 monsters hooked, 7 boated. We had one red spool the reel, 2 break off and 1 pull the hook. We had one red come out of the thick grass crush a top water plug. Just watching these massive fish chase a top water plug is fun, but when they crush it hang on! See the photos in the gallery. Don't delay, if you want a trophy do it now! TOP WATER SLOBBERKNOCKERS
Unreal! Totally awesome! If you are reading this report you really need to book for September. The big redfish are crushing top water plugs. Today we hooked 6 monsters over 30 pounds and broke off on two. The one fish we lost was the largest (I know the big one always gets away) redfish I have ever seen hooked. One of my clients boated a 52 pounder 2 years ago and this fish dwarfed him. Carl Rosa was the lucky guy today. See the photos in the gallery. This is my favorite time of year for trophies. The number is 407-405-0819! |

NOW IS THE TIME! BIG REDS!
What a great week we have had fishing the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River. I had a 7 year old girl land a 32 pound redfish. That was the biggest of 7 fish hooked that day. Not only did we catch big reds we landed ladyfish, trout and a few catfish. Thursday produced a monster red again and over 50 trout. The "SLOBBERKNOCKERS" are here and ready to play. We have landed 16 redfish over 20 pounds this past week. Now is the time to book a trip for a trophy redfish. The trout bite has been awesome. Saturday produced another solid day. Windy conditions made it hard to get the big reds, although we hooked a pig only to have it break off. We caught some really nice trout in the 2-4 pound range and plenty of them. September is my favorite month for the big reds. Give me a call before you miss out on a biggun'. Call 407-405-0819. Tight lines and Good fishing! |

Fishing Is Great
The fishing is solid on the Indian River and Mosquito Lagoon. Today I fished with Capt. Charles Imwalle and we caught some nice fish. We almost had a slam which is a trout, redfish and black drum. Charlie had the black drum on but he wiggled free. We had a blast. The first fish of the morning was was a 28 pound single red tailing in 18 inches of water. Charlie then whacked some nice trout. We found another school nad Charlie got a 17 pound red. I was up next and nailed a nice 26 inch red. Chalie hit another nice trout around 4 pounds. What a great day. |

Hot Fishing!
The fishing is great right now. As the full moon passes the trout will really go nuts. Although the trout bite has been real steady. We have been catching at least 30 per day. A few trips have produced 60-70 trout. The redfish have been crushing top water plugs in the morning and jerk baits have been hot once the sun is above the horizon. An average day lately has been 7-10 redfish and plenty of trout. We have even boated some black drum up to 10 pounds. There are schools of fish in many places around the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River. Now is the time to book if you would like to get in on the action. Have a great week! WOW! WHAT A WEEK 80 REDFISH BOATED IN 5 DAYS
All I can say is this has been one great week of fishing. We have boated 80 redfish this week. Wednesday was absolutely sick as we boated 29. Friday was another day of boating 14 redfish. Not only have the reds been hot, so have the trout, ladyfish and jack crevalle. I look for this trend to continue throughout the summer. Sure there will be a day here and there where it might be a little slower, but for the most part the bite should remain solid. As I stated in a previous report I have a red circle around the month of August. It is a great time to fish. I am really dialed in on the fish right now and it is a blast. If you want to book your adventure give me a call at 407-405-0819. I only have July 30 and 31 open this month. August still has some days open, but they will fill fast. Hope to hear from you soon. 43 Redfish in 2days
Wow! The fishing is hot! Today I was joined by Scott Beckett of Ocoee and we caught and released 29 redfish. The first fish of the morning Scott landed a 38 pound redfish. He hooked another one that was almost as big. That fish broke off. It happens! Things really got crazy after that. We found a school of over 1000 (yes 1000) redfish. It was non stop action for the next 3 hours. We had 6 doubles and we had a blast. After battling redfish we hit a school of jack crevalle and landed 6 nice ones. Yesterday I was joined by Phil Miller and his 2 sons Marty and Eddie. We landed 14 redfish and hooked 20. It was awesome. Marty also caught a nice 5 pound trout. Now is the time to book for August. The fishing is hot this time of year. Give me a call at 407-405-0819 or e-mail me and we can set up a trip. Tight lines and Good fishing! Captain David |

This past week was awesome. There were many fish boated. My clients caught numerous slot fish and some nice fat trout and of course we whacked a few "SLOBBERKNOCKERS". Now that our afternoon rains have started the fishing will continue to be great. Many of the fish caught this past week came on Rip Tide "Flats Chub" jerk baits and top water plugs. Barney Hunsinger and his son James joined me for a great day on the water. I guess you could call it an early father's day present for Barney. Barney who is 76, landed a 35 pound red. It was a 25 minute battle as the big fish tugged and peeled drag. What a great way to spend time with your dad. I really enjoyed the day myself. Thanks for a great day guys. Dylan versus Goliath (Slobberknocker Redfish)
What a day on the water, but aren't they all. Today was extra special because my son Dylan battled 4 "SLOBBERKNOCKER" redfish. Dylan landed his largest redfish today which broke the 35 pound mark. Not bad for an 8 year old who only weighs 51 pounds. He lost one, actually I lost it for him, that was easily 40 pounds. I was trying to help him out toward the end of a 25 minute battle and the hook pulled free. It was only a few minutes later that he was battling the fish you can see in the photo gallery. With the rod between his legs he showed that fish who was boss. He also mangaed a couple more big ones. After fighting the bigguns we left and found a school of 400 plus slot fish (18-27 inches) and caught 5 of those. I had my good friend Steve Chapman along today and he took those awesome photos. Steve also took an unexpected swim when we were stalking the slot fish. Dylan had a fish yank the rod out of his hand when he bit and Steve jumped out of the boat as the rod began to speed away. Steve got the rod and about the time he did I hooked one also. Double slots for the first cast. The school for some strange reason ran about 150 yards. Might be that big Steve made a big splash . Well we caught a few more and called it a day. Thanks Steve, for the awesome photos of Dyaln and I. It was a priceless day for sure. Steve, by the way is responsible for my website, so if you need web design give him a shout. Give me a call and let's set up your adventure on the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River Lagoon. 407-405-0819. Tight lines and Good Fishing, Captain David |

Mother's Day to Remember
What a great Mother's Day on the Indian River. Falon and her mother spent the day together fighting some big reds and a few trout. The day began witha Falon boating a nice trout. After that it was off to find the big boys and we found those rascals. The first fish was at least 30 lbs but do to large amounts of grass the line broke. The good thing was the school was big and Falon manged to hook into a nice 15 lb red. Not long after that her mother, Marge, hooked a big 17 lb red. We decided to leave those fish and headed to the trout hole. The wind had really picked up by now and we made one drift and Falon landed the last fish of the day, a nice 2-1/2 pound trout which went home for dinner. What a great Mother's Day present. See some of the photos in the gallery. Now is the time to book for June and July. The Indaian River Express is running and the "SLOBBERKNOCKERS" are in town. Let's get HAWGWILD!!!! February has been great, March should be real Hot!
What a great month so far. the big fish are showing up in good numbers and as we begin to see warmer tempatures they will show on a daily basis. The trout fishing has aslo been excellent. March should be even better. Large schools of big redfish love to roam the flats in search of a nice meal. This past week has produced some redfish in the 15-25 pound range. This is a great time to fish because the fish are active and the tempatures are still fairly mild. If you are interested in booking a charter in March now is the time to set a date. Hope to hear from you and let's go get HAWGWILD! Tight lines and good fishin'. Captain David 407-405-0819 |

January Fishing is Hot
The sight fishing has been incredible the past few weeks. It is not unusual to see large schools of fish roaming the flats. I have seen several large schools on the same flat crashing bait or rooting the bottom for small crabs. This past week a few clients have taken home a few reds for dinner. While cleaning the fish I opened the belly and they were full of half-dollar sized crabs. I have also come across a school of larger fish in a certain area. These fish were in the 15-20 pound range with few larger fish mixed in among them. We should start seeing consistent schools of large fish soon. All I can say the fishing is really hot right now. The only time it is not is when the cold fronts move through. The trick is fishing before and a couple days after. I look for this Monday to a great day along with the rest of the week. Call and book a trip and get HAWGWILD! 407-405-0819 Tight Lines and Good Fishing Capt. David |

Hit the Jackpot in Las Vegas
I hit the Jackpot while visiting Las Vegas. It wasn't the casino jackpot, that is another story. I hit the fishing jackpot when I hooked up with Capt. Mark Edison on Lake Mead. What an awesome guide and a super person. He and his faithful dog Scruffy put me on some nice stripers. The pictures of a couple fish and sights can be seen in the photo gallery. What a beautiful place. The Las vegas Strip has nothing on the beauty of the mountains, Hoover Dam and crystal clear water. If you are headed to Vegas and want to have some great fun and some excellent company hook up with Capt. Mark Edison. His web is www.adventureinangling.com and his phone is 702-375-1821. Thanks Mark for a great trip. I have a few open dates in December and am booking for January. Give me a call 407-405-0819. Tight Lines and good fishing Capt. David

Fishing and Cold Fronts
Look for the fishing to really get hot as the cold fronts begin to roll through Central Florida. As the water cools fish will begin to feed later in the day. The metabolism of fish will also slow down. Our fish will also begin to group together and it very easy to catch 50 or more trout in a few hours. Redfish should begin to school as the water temperature drops. Fishing around docks and drop offs will hold fish also. You will need to use smaller baits and slow down your presentation. Fish will not work as hard for food. Sight fishing will get much better because the water will be gin clear. The sun can warm a flat as much as 4 degrees druing the day. As the flat warms activity will increase. I look for December and January to be great months as they have in the past. There is no need to get on the water before 8 a.m. once we have a strong cold snap. Now is the time to book for the middle of December throught the New Year. Let's go get Hawgwild and catch some fish. Call today and book a trip for a Christmas Gift. 407-405-0819 Tight lines and Good Fishing Captain David |

Sight fishing is great!
What a great time to go fishing! The weather is cool and the water is clearing. Hunting for redfish and trout is exciting. It is pretty awesome to be 10 feet from a red or trout and pitch a shrimp or jerk bait to him, then watch the gills flair as the fish inhales the bait. I love going in the back country during winter is great. The scenery is so beautiful and generally you are all alone and don't have to worry about dealing with other boats. The solitude is there and the maze of mangrove islands and oyster bars will hold some quality fish. I have a few dates left open in November and December is begining to fill. Book a charter today and see the back country beauty and enjoy the solitude. Tight lines and good fishing! Capt. David |

Fishing Steady and Good
The fishing has been great the last few weeks. This past week was great. Thursday produced 13 nice redfish and 50 plus trout. Around 1p.m the rains began to pour and we still were catching trout. Saturday was another great day of fishing as we boated 11 redfish and 25 plus trout. I was joined by Carl and Cinnamon Fryer of St. Pete. They were pleased by our beautiful estuary and we had a wonderful time. Sunday I was joined by Al Peck and his father-in-law Kevin. They were down for vacation from Ontario. We had a very nice day and great weather. We landed 6 different species of fish that included, 14 redfish, many trout, ladyfish, catfish, blow fish and even a needlefish. We almost had a gar. It was a great day and I really enjoyed learning about Canada and the wildlife. The fishing is only going to get better as we move into fall. Book now for November. I still have a few days open for October. The Hunt For Reds Tournament is next Sunday October 23rd. There will be display booths and seminars on Oct. 22nd in Titusville at Sand Point Park. They will also have plenty of fun for the kids. Tight Lines and Good Fishing. Capt. David |

First Magazine Article Published
I would like thank Captain Bret Gamrot and Onshore-Offshore for including my article in the October issue. You can find the magazine on the east and west coast in most tackle shops. In Orlando stop by Orlando Outfitters on Corrine drive and Bitter's Bait and Tackle in Longwood. In Titusville, most fishing related store carry them. Skeeter Lagoons has several. It is a very nice magazine with great color photos and many excellent articles and a few good recipes. Please check it out and would greatly appreciate comments on the article. Capt. David |

The Bite is great!
The fishing has been awesome on the Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River. We have been catching anywhere from 8-15 reds per trip and many trout. the trout have been very reliable. The mullet run is in full swing and the fish are attacking top water biats and jerk baits. The "Stupid Rig" with a Rip Tide Gulf Chub has been killer. The Rip Tide 3 inch mullet has been the trout slayer. As we move into the fall and the heat begins to turn to cool air look for the fishing to get even better. Don't miss out on the action, let's get HAwgwild! Capt. David. |

Trout, Trout,Trout as in 100+
What a great day on the water. I was joined by Clay Owens and his 7 year old son Clay. Those 2 guys boated at least 100 trout. Young Clay is quite the angler. He could cast like nobody's business. He did such a great job on the boat in all aspects. Dad has taught him well. He sure made my day enjoyable. The morning started out with a beautiful sunrise and tons of bait, but no fish. Went to spot number 2 and found tons of bait but no takers. Spot number 3 was the sweet spot. As I poled along we picked up a couple of trout and I eased the Power Pole down. For the next 2 hours it was non stop trout action. Almost all the trout were caught on the Rip Ride 3 inch Mullet in the new "Candy Corn " color and the new "Silver Mullet". We also caught a few on the "stupid rig" with a Rip Tide Gulf Chub in "Fire Tiger" and "Texas Cochroach". Around 11:45 we moved and went to spot 4 where we boated 6 or 8 more trout. The storms were starting to build and we took it to the dock. It was just another day of Hawgwild action with 2 very good fisherman. I have a few weekend days open in September and I am now booking for October. The monster school will soon be together and it will be awesome. Tight Lines and Good Fishing Captain David |

The Stinky Trout
Well last week was a first for me. I caught a 32 inch trout that weighed just 9 pounds. It should have weighed no less than 11 pounds. The thing about the trout was it was stinky. The fish threw up a bunch of vile smelling stuff all over the boat. It was a enough goo that I had to use four buckets of water to clean the boat. There was something wrong with the fish. It had lesions under the belly and the eyes were milky. I have never seen anything like it. It can be seen on the photo gallery. Now on a better note. The trout fishing has been great. We caught over 150 trout in 3 charters this past week. The best day was Friday when I was joined by Don Ador of Prestige Lumber and we caught over 70 trout. We saw about 150 redfish but they would not eat. I look for the big reds to go nuts after the full moon as the spawn starts. Saturday was another great day for trout as we boated over 50. Sunday was a good day as we caught a 27 pound redfish and 30 plus trout. The trout are hitting on Rip Tide 3 inch mullet and the Rip Tide Flats Chub rigged on the "stupid" rig. I have been spraying my bait with Rip Tide's new "Blast" shrimp flavored spray. Let's go get Hawgwild. Tight Lines and Good Fishing Capt. David |

SLOBBERKNOCKER TROUT
Another good week of fishing was topped off Sunday with an 8 lb. Trout. I was joined by Dwight Abel and his son Ryan. We eased on the flat around 6a.m. and saw a nice school of reds. The very first cast was an instant hook up with a redfish on a top water plug. Somehow he escaped. The next cast was to the school with the top water plug and a huge explosion took place. About 12 minutes later the fish was beside the boat and Dwight said, "Man those fish sure are red." I said, "Yea and it has a lot of spots, it is a huge trout." We land the big SLOBBERKNOCKER TROUT and it weighed in at 8 lbs. I told Dwight that is like catching a 12 pound largemouth bass on your first try. It took me 3 years before I caught my first trout over 8 pounds. Now it was Ryan's turn as he hooked the first redfish of the day. Ryan was jsut geting started, he boated 5 or 6 reds plus several trout. Dwight also boated several trout and reds. We lost count because the action was fast and furious until 10:45 a.m. We tried to find the big reds but due to the traffic on the lagoon they were hanging in deep water. It was a beautiful morning and truned out to be a great day. When you are on the water they are all great days. Earlier in the week I was joined by Paul Pedersen and we faced howling winds all day. We managed to boat over 30 trout on top water Chug Bugs and Rip Tide 3 inch mullet. Paul caught one trout that went 4 pounds and lost one at the boat that was over 8lbs easily, maybe larger. We ended up with 7 keepers. Tuesday I was joined by Cameron Smith and his father Jim. The charter was Cameron's birthday present. We had a bonus day as the shuttle took off that morning. The bite was tough. We were working 2 different schools of over 150 fish in each school. Cameron was greeted by a 24 pound red for his birthday and Jim manged to boat a 14 pound fish. We added a few trout, but not any larger ones. It was a fun day as always. I have openings in August so book now and let's get HAWGWILD! Tight Lines and Good Fishing Captain David
P.S. When viewing the photo gallery run the SLIDESHOW. It let's you view all pictures. |

Another Solid Week of Hawgwild Action
The bite was a little slower this past week as the full moon passed. We still managed some quality fish nonetheless. Monday I had an opportunity to fish with my good friend Rich Guinn, owner of Skeeter Lagoon's Bait and Tackle in Titusville. We crept up on a large school of reds and Rich boated a 32 pound slobberknocker. I pulled the hook on a big fish with a Gag's Grabber plug. We left those fish and found some Quality trout. Tuesday were some regular clients who I really enjoy fishing each year. David and his father Steve Schofield brought alond David's friend Cameron. Cameron had never caught a red. That changed very quickly. Cameorn hooked into a 29 pound fish and that ain't bad for your first red. David and Steve joined in and we ended up with 4 nice reds on the day. We also manged to pull in about 15 or so trout. Wednesday I was joined by David Ahern and his son Joe. David is an athletic director at a school in Boca Raton. The goal was to get Joe his first redfish. Well joe hooked up twice right away and lost both fish. One fish got into the school and broke off, the other fish just pulled the hook. David the latched into a 40 pound slobberkncoker and we boated the first fish. Not long after that, Joe made a perfect cast, just as he had done all morning and hooked a nice fish. The goal was accomplished as Joe bated a 23-1/2 pound red. The school began to run, so we left and caucht some trout. Thursday I was joined by a great group of returnees. Jason and John Lonsdale, who are stationed in Jacksonville and mebers of the United States Navy. The brought uncle Dan again and we had a blast. Our batting average on reds was 1 for 3. Jason boated a ncie 15 pound fish. We managed to catch quite a few trout throughout the day. I always enjoy my charters, but these guys keep me going all day. Friday I was joined by Greg Colemand and his friend Drew from Georgia. We caught and released around 30 torut and boated one red out of three. The fish were really on the run Friday and not real hungry because thehad fed most of the night. We had a super time with top water trout action. Things should really heat up as the full moon passes. I expect a super trout bite as they come off the spawn and the reds should become more aggressive and hopefully start eating top water baits. Let's go catch some bigguns and get Hawgwild. What a week! Reds and trout Galore
What a great week of fishing it has been. A week loaded with BIG REDS and plenty of trout. Tuesday I fished with my son and my father. My dad caught a nice 17 pound red and my son and I worked together on a 24 pound fish. We also landed over 30 trout. Wednesday I was joined on a morning charter by Carl and Georgia Rivenbark from Jensen Beach. Georgia scored 3 large reds, which happened to be her first reds. Carl and Georgia were awesome to have aboard. After the first 3 fish the school got lock jaw. They were doing a little flirting. I was joined that afternoon by Sue Suh from Las Vegas. We caught and released 30 plus trout. The redfish had taken the deep route. We were hoping to see the space shuttle but the launch was scrubbed. Friday I was joined by some regular clients Rick Poore and his son Derek and there good friend Matt Cochran. The goal was to get Derek a big fish and we accomplised that goal. Derek and Matt both landed big ol' slobberknockers. Matt's was an absolute beast and Derek 29 pound fish was no slouch. Not only did we score those big boys. we landed over 70 trout. Matt puuled a 4 pound trout on top water. The rest of the fish were caught on Rip Tide 3 inch mullet in assorted colors. I have a charter Saturday and 2 open days next week. So come aboard and get HAWGWILD!

Fireworks Begin In July (updated Photo Gallery)
The month of July started with a bang. Several fish over the 30 pound mark have been landed this month. Bizahn Roozrokh and his two boys joined me on July 5th and had an awesome day. The trio landed a 34 pound red, a 30 pound red and a 22 pounder. The fish were a little spooky but these fish found their way to the bait. Several trout were also landed. I was joined by Bill Pancake and his grandson Lee and his nephews Tyler and Jordan. The foursome landed 5 nice redfish with Lee landing the largest fish, a 40 pound slobberknocker. We hooked 7 fish and had the first 2 shake loose, but it was lights out from their. Bill added a nice 20 pound fish and Tyler managed a 24 pound fish. Jordan had a 17 pounder and we also had an 11 pound red. After tugging on a few red we pulled on 20 or so trout and a lady fish. Friday I was Joined By Don, Daryl and Bill Cox. We hooked one big red and he wiggled free. The redfish were very spooky with heavy winds, so we went after some trout. We manged about 12-15 trout with a couple of nice keepers. It was a great day on the water, but the fish seemed to hunkered down waiting on Dennis the Menace. Hopefully he will spare us all. There are some open days left, but they are filling quick. Book now! Call 407-405-0819 See the new pictures and new order. All pictures are now in most recent order.

Last week of June was great
The last week of June was awesome. Many new accomplishments came to life for my clients. John Thompson caught the biggset fish of his life. John battled a 44 pound redfish for 61 minutes and was very tried after the battle. After a few pictures (can be seen on page 8) we went trout fishing. My wife caught her first 2 reds. The first fish was 11 pounds, but the second was 29 pound monster. Lynda and Bill Johnson a had a good day. Lynda caught her first red and it tipped the scale at 17 pounds. Bill added a 13 pound fish and we boated 15 or so trout. Don Dupont and Dean Holly managed a 32 pouind red and a 17 pounder. They also landed over 30 trout. Tuesday was not a great day for reds, but we managed 20 plus jacks on top water plugs and 20 plus trout. Friday was another nice day. Greg and Sam Thompson met me a 9 a.m and we landed a 27 pound red and a 15 pound red. We had some great top water action on trout witha 4 pouind kicker. The week of July 4th should be strong as we approach the new moon. I look fore the week of July 11the to be real strong. I have some openings for July, but they are filling fast. Book now, the action is hot! Captain David |
