I would like to say that we had a really nice day fishing with Capt David.
The fishing could have been better not that Capt David didn't put us on the fish.
The fish just didn't like what we were offering them. So Capt David waved down this crabber to see if he would sale a few. Guess what FISH ON. The day ended with three nice Reds and a few Trout. Thanks for a great day. I have been fishing for many years and you won't find any better Capt then David.

Captain Dave,

I wanted to thank you for one of the best fishing trips that I have ever been on. My father-in-law is a big fisherman, and he also is still talking about this trip. I truly think every time we had a line in the water we had a bite! You put us on some big fish early, and we were tired one hour into the trip. Your knowledge of those fishing spots was apparent, and we thank you. It will not be long before we plan another trip back, but I wanted to thank you for treating us to such a great day.

Captain David took my wife and I to the Indian River and within a half hour of being on the water he had located a gigantic school of the biggest redfish I had ever seen in my life. My wife landed 3 of those monsters and I boated 4. I was amazed at the strength of these bull redfish as they pulled our boat. I'm anxious to book again with Captain David as it was one of the most exciting red fish trips I have ever taken.

Sincerely
Ted Haines

I would highly recommend hiring Captain Dave for your flats fishing excursion. It's awesome when the guide gets more excited than his client over a fish that is caught (8 lb trout). I had no idea what I had caught. I basically wanted to take my son, Ryan, to go do something new before school started back. We had bass fished many times but never fished the flats.

Captain Dave was extremely knowledgeable and had a great boat! Our 1st cast we missed a big red-our fault as we let the line go loose. The very next cast we landed the 8 foot trout and it was only 6:30am. The action sttayed steady and we caught more reds and trout than I could remember by 10:30am.

Both the fishing and Captain Dave's company made for an extraordinary day! You could also tell he had the respect of all the other guides on the lagoon as each and every one had something to say to captain Dave as we passed by!

My next trip will be with clients and Captain Dave will be getting the call!

I have fished with Capt Dave Rogers on many occasions. Every time has produced great stories to tell, as well as huge redfish, the largest was a 43 lb. “slobber knocker,” that Capt Dave took the time to get in the Orlando Sentinel, as he does with many of his lucky clients. From beginners to experts, Capt Dave works with everyone, to see they have a great time, and catch fish. He really loves his job, which makes a big difference as a guide. His positive encouragement and accurate instructions gives the angler the best chance to succeed. Capt Rogers will teach you as much as you want to learn about fishing. His extensive knowledge of the Indian River Lagoon System is incredible. He always knows where the fish are, where they hide, and even which way they are about to turn. From atop his poling platform, he quietly sneaks up within casting range of giant schools of oversized, tailing redfish. One minute you will be relaxing, watching the birds wade the flat, the sun rise in the early mourning, the mullet swim in a fluorescent flash, or listening to a trout popping the surface. The next your line will be screaming off the reel with the pull of a giant redfish, over a hundred yards away, after his first run. A couple runs later, a shinning bronze redfish is landed at the boat. A quick picture and the fish is released and on his way. Those are some of the things I remember from my trips. I have learned a tremendous amount about fishing, caught dozens of monster redfish, and gained memories of a lifetime fishing with Capt Dave.
