Captain David Rogers is native Floridian who grew up fishing both freshwater and saltwater. The captain began fishing ponds, lakes and surf fishing at the age of 5. He fished local bass clubs for over 12 years before he began hunting redfish in the Mosquito Lagoon in 1993.
After catching that first redfish his passion and thirst for learning about redfish became an addiction.

After teaching high school and coaching fastptich softball for 13 years the captain began guiding on the Mosquito Lagoon in 2003. The learning and teaching has never stopped and never will. The enjoyment of seeing others catch fish is something Captain David has always liked.

Captain David has been fortunate enough to record 4 TV shows with the ‘Reel Animals’ Captains Mike Anderson and Bill Nobles. He has just recently recorded a show with Bob Redferns’s Outdoor Magazine which can be seen on VERUS. The captain also hosted in own radio show for 16 months with Steve Chapman. Captain David now does a weekly call-in on ‘Open Mike with Mike Bianchi’ on 740 the Game every Friday morning at 6:40 am. He also call in on ‘Fishing Florida Radio’ on 740 on Saturdays and on the ‘Reel Animals’ every Saturday and Sunday on 790am and WDAE 620 am. Captain David also writes for Onshore-Offshore Magazine.

Captain David has fished all over the state of Florida in destinations such as Islamorada, Flamingo, Ft. Pierce, St. Augustine, Tampa Bay, Boca Grande, Englewood and Chokoloskee. He also fished in the Bahamas and Lake Meade in Las Vegas.

The most important thing is that Captain David promises to work hard to make sure that you have FUN!
